Almost two years ago, we were contacted by the fine folks at Watler Craft Caesar. They had secured a publishing deal with Penguin Radom House, and were connecting with Canada’s top chefs and bartenders to assist with the creation of a recipe book highlighting our national cocktail; the Caesar.
Fast forward to present day, where Caesar Country; Cocktails, Clams & Canada is complete and launched in all major bookstores. It’s a stunning tribute to the Canadian Caesar; and includes detailed recipes from Chuck Hughes (Garde Manger), Ryan Renolds (Aviator Gin), Aaron Harowitz and Zack Silverman (co-founders of Walter Craft Caesar), and many other talented contributors (including our very own Chartier Bar Mom, Sloane Botting).
To celebrate the launch, and as a prelude to Canada Day festivities - we’re featuring caesar creations from the book on Thursday, June 30th. We’ve picked one recipe from each region ( west / prairies / central / maritimes), and will be shaking, mixing, muddling, and stirring all day long.
We’ll also be giving away copies of the book to three lucky winners, along with three $50 gift cards from Chartier.
