Producer Dinner ft. Irvings Farm

Producer Dinner ft. Irvings Farm

Bringing you a little bit closer to where your food comes from is one of our primary goals at Chartier.

One of the ways we do this is with our monthly producer dinners, where we showcase one of our local partners in a carefully curated 5 course menu that focuses in on their incredible products. We invite them in for the evening to storytell, educate, and connect with diners - offering a unique opportunity to meet the beauties behind the bounty.

On Friday, January 10th we’re excited to welcome Nicola and Alan Irving - proud owners of Irvings Farm Fresh in Roundhill, AB.

After moving to Alberta from England in 2005, Nicola and Alan realised that many of the British pork products they had come to love in England, were not available here in Alberta - and so began their journey into farming in Canada.

Their small herd of Berkshire pigs are raised as nature intended. The animals are allowed to move freely in their environment and are kept outside year round, with access to indoor shelters for shade in the summer, and warmth in the winter. The animals are never raised with the use of antibiotics, hormones are never used to promote growth, and the pigs’ diet consists of forages, locally grown grain (produced without the use of chemicals), and a premix of canola/soya, and a vitamin/mineral supplement.

Their pork is unparalleled, and Chef Tamara will be using it in all five courses offered throughout the evening.

Limited seating is available, click the link below to book!

October Sunday Spirit Club ft. Field Notes Distillery

October Sunday Spirit Club ft. Field Notes Distillery

For our October Sunday Spirit Club, we're excited to feature Edmonton's very own Field Notes Distillery.

Field Notes Distillery launched in 2021 with the brand’s first product, a pea-based amaro called Don’t Call Me Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea is the first commercial spirit made from peas in North America and one of very few Canadian-made amari.

Faaiza Ramji, co-founder of Field Notes Spirits, will be joining us for storytelling and tasting - sharing her experience of distilling with raw Canadian agricultural products.

You will be greeted with a reception cocktail followed by a tasting of three different spirits paired to three small bites, highlighting each spirits unique flavour profile and character.

Tickets are $60 each. Two seatings are available (4pm or 6pm), and each experience is approximately 1.5-2 hours long - we hope to see you there!
