Producer Dinner ft. Irvings Farm

Producer Dinner ft. Irvings Farm

Bringing you a little bit closer to where your food comes from is one of our primary goals at Chartier.

One of the ways we do this is with our monthly producer dinners, where we showcase one of our local partners in a carefully curated 5 course menu that focuses in on their incredible products. We invite them in for the evening to storytell, educate, and connect with diners - offering a unique opportunity to meet the beauties behind the bounty.

On Friday, January 10th we’re excited to welcome Nicola and Alan Irving - proud owners of Irvings Farm Fresh in Roundhill, AB.

After moving to Alberta from England in 2005, Nicola and Alan realised that many of the British pork products they had come to love in England, were not available here in Alberta - and so began their journey into farming in Canada.

Their small herd of Berkshire pigs are raised as nature intended. The animals are allowed to move freely in their environment and are kept outside year round, with access to indoor shelters for shade in the summer, and warmth in the winter. The animals are never raised with the use of antibiotics, hormones are never used to promote growth, and the pigs’ diet consists of forages, locally grown grain (produced without the use of chemicals), and a premix of canola/soya, and a vitamin/mineral supplement.

Their pork is unparalleled, and Chef Tamara will be using it in all five courses offered throughout the evening.

Limited seating is available, click the link below to book!

Brunch with Beb's

Brunch with Beb's

Before opening our doors in 2016, we traveled to Quebec for menu inspiration and were delighted to see that traditional Jewish bakeries and delis were EVERYWHERE. We ate our body weight in smoked meat, preserved salmon, black and white cookies, the best rye - and our personal fave….BAGELS.

We’re definitely not alone in our adoration for these savoury rounds, and instead of just dreaming of the next trip to QC, Edmonton locals Lindon Carter & Luke Breiteneder figured out a way to curb their cravings on the reg. These touring musicians LOVE bagels so much, they worked hard to develop the most delicious, chewiest bagel they could and from there Beb’s Bagels was born. Heavily influenced by their time on tour in Montreal, both Lindon and Luke managed to create their very own, unique bagel recipe that will give your jaw a workout.

We’ll be showcasing their beautiful bagels on Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th in a deadly croque madame feature on our brunch menu. Their bagels will also be for sale at the bakery, alongside their famous scallion cream cheese.
